Studio Brief 02
Content Research

For this studio brief 02 What is a book? Ive decided to base my publication on an interview about Innervisions, which is one of my favourite music labels and collectives. With both Dixon and Kristian Beyer at its helm the label continues to push forward thinking dance music and prove to be unique. I'm focusing my publication on an interview put together by Resident Advisor on Lost In A Moment, which are Innervisions much lauded parties. Here is a small sample of what the content will be:

'Early in the afternoon of Sunday, May 10th, Steffen Berkhahn, the DJ better known as Dixon, stood at baggage claim at Naples International Airport, staring at his phone. He looked calm, if a little stoic (as he often does), but in fact he was not entirely at ease. Being at baggage claim was part of it. His travel methods, honed to perfection after 20 years of gigs, would normally never allow this to happen. (It was only for the purposes of this article that he was on an airline that permitted just one carry-on per passenger.) There was also the matter of having not really slept the night before. He'd finished playing in Rotterdam at 7:30 AM and flew to Naples at 10:30, leaving time for little more than a shower and a quick lie-down. But that was neither here nor there—Berkhahn has long seen sleeplessness as a simple occupational hazard. What was really bothering him was a text message he'd just received from Gloria Ahlers, the main administrative force behind Innervisions and its related projects.'

The editorial pictures available from the article is one reason I chose to pick this article as well, as I want photography to play a large part of the publication.
